We are available to meet with parents/carers Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

We support children and their families with:

  • Parenting guidance and support, focusing on how to develop and maintain positive discipline.

  • Enabling a child with difficulties to talk about concerns in a confidential, non-judgemental environment.

  • Promoting good mental health.

  • Helping to build resilience, improve self-esteem, anger management and reducing worries by using agreed strategies to help themselves.

  • Improving relationships within the family.

  • Monitoring and promoting good school attendance; this includes working with a child to feel happier coming to school and being in class.

  • Ensuring that all the pupils can afford the required school uniform.

  • Guidance towards other sources of help, advice and support.

  • Signpost to other agencies and having relevant information available.

  • Working closely with other agencies ensuring that follow-up work is done and all concerned are well informed.

  • Helping families in crisis situations, for instance bereavement, separation, domestic violence, or sudden financial problems.

  • Obtaining funding for vulnerable children and families.
