Personal, Social, Health Education Intent Statement
At Guildford Grove we cultivate lifelong learners who possess a range of skills which is applicable in real-life contexts. We are committed to nurturing individuals who understand the diverse world around them, embracing differences in religion, race, disability, gender stereotypes, and much more. Our primary goal is to equip children with essential life skills, fostering self- awareness, effective emotion management through ‘The Zones of Regulation’, motivation, empathy and strong social skills.
We believe in empowering our students to navigate their personal and social landscapes confidently. Through our spiral PSHE curriculum, tailored to age and stage appropriateness, we aim to instil in them the knowledge and understanding necessary to make informed choices in their lives. Our focus is on developing reflective learning who not only engage actively in lessons but also apply these principles in the wider world. By integrating these values into their daily experiences, we aspire to prepare our students to thrive as responsible and empathetic individuals in an ever-evolving society.
